About the event
The ICJP and LMN in-person briefing gives Parliamentarians, staff and stakeholders the opportunity to hear first hand testimony on Gaza’s healthcare collapse and crisis from doctors and healthcare professionals. These doctors, only this month returned from Gaza, will speak to the situation on-the-ground today.
Dr Victoria Rose
- NHS surgeon and chair of the UK’s Speciality Advisory Committee on Plastic Surgery Training. Dr Rose has completed three volunteer medical missions in Gaza (March ’24, August ’24, May ’25) with IDEALS charity working in the European and Nasser hospitals.
Dr James Smith
- Emergency physician and lecturer in humanitarian policy and practice at UCL. Dr Smith has completed two volunteer medical missions in Gaza (January ’24, June ’24) with Medical Aid Palestine.
